This Creamy Ricotta Chicken Pasta is a deliciously rich and satisfying dish made with tender chicken, creamy ricotta cheese, and perfectly cooked pasta, all tossed in a luscious sauce. A quick and easy meal perfect for busy weeknights!

  • 12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup pasta water (as needed)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in cooked chicken, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and add ricotta cheese, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the cooked pasta, tossing to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water gradually to reach the desired sauce consistency.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil or parsley.

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker meal.
  • Substitute heavy cream with milk for a lighter version.
  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
