Ingredients
Scale
6 large croissants, preferably day-old
2 cups mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries)
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
4 large eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Tear the croissants into large pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the mixed berries evenly over the croissant pieces.
In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract (if using), and ground cinnamon.
Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants and berries, pressing down gently to ensure the croissants absorb the liquid.
Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the croissants to soak up the custard.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.
Allow the bake to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
